The Intensive Language Course for CIEE (Council on International Educational Exchange) was organised by Institute for Language and Preparatory Studies
12 American students total beginners who are studying at Czech universities. Special lecture material was developed by UJOP and we focused on survival Czech (basic phrases, greetings, dialogues, basic vocabs, bit of grammar, spelling, pronounciation, numbers, orientation in the city etc. We worked quite hard, tests every day and we did progress. In the end of the course I organised Scavenger hunt which was an interesting combination of Czech in use and a bit of Czech history “in the modern city”. I hope we all had some fun.
