This individual beginners course was for me a good experience of thinking what is really needed for the students to learn. Looking backwards I see it is more productive to focus on the Czech verb system (verbs, phrases, prepositions, tenses…) rather than practise cases (locative etc.) which are in the beginners speach not really that necessary. At that time using the textbook “Step by step”, nowadays I would definitely use the “Easy Czech” which contains lots of practical texts of the “real life”, dialogues, pictures and also communicative and drill excercises.
